Go ahead, make your jokes, Mr. Jokey… Joke-maker. But let me hit you with some knowledge. Dodgeball rocks! And on Saturday, May 19th the Professional Leadership Network hosted an all day dodgeball tournament on Fountain Square.

The event raised funds to send over 600 underprivileged Cincinnati youth to a free summer camp called Challenge Camp. At Challenge Camp, the Professional Leadership Network mentors, and Dan Beard Council, Boy Scouts of America, will mentor the kids and help them experience the outdoors through activities like swimming, first aid, and outdoor education.

So, are you ready for the five D’s of dodgeball… Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive, Dodge!

Looks like the first “D” of Dodgeball is being put to good use

According to the character Peter La Fleur, “I found that if you have a goal, that you might not reach it. But if you don’t have one, then you are never disappointed. And I gotta tell ya… it feels phenomenal.” That might be true, but do you know what feels even better? That’s right, it would be reaching your goals.

Thanks to the support from the community, the stellar diving ability of the participants, and the generosity from the sponsors, PLN has achieved its goal and can now proceed to teach young kids the five D’s of Dodgeball.
